DOCTOR OF DENTAL SURGERY, D.D.S
BOARD CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC DENTIST

Dr. Janny Lim

Dr. Janny Lim is a dedicated Board-Certified Diplomate of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, committed to improving children’s dental health and empowering families. Raised in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Janny developed a passion for community engagement and creativity through her involvement in the Lariettes dance team during high school. She pursued her undergraduate education at Emory University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Human Biology. During her final semester, she was awarded with Dean’s List honors.

Driven by a desire to understand the broader social determinants of health, she pursued a Master of Public Health at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, specializing in Epidemiology with a certificate in Chronic Diseases. During her time, she served as a teacher’s assistant for two distinct modules across six classes and contributed to research at the New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Health. It was during this program that she discovered her true passion: helping others smile and preventing disease through early intervention.

Dr. Lim continued her education at New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Her commitment to advancing pediatric dental care was recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation, which awarded her the Community Leadership Tarrson Award to support her research on improving access to pediatric dental care for children of vulnerable pregnant women.

She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital, specializing in pediatric dentistry. She chose this path to address preventive health at an early age, believing that working with children and their families can eliminate obstacles to proper dental care. Her focus on preventive strategies not only enhances individual health outcomes but also promotes healthier family dynamics.

Actively engaged in professional development, Dr. Lim is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
